The Widow’s Kiss Ou Le Baiser De La Veuve
This Cocktail was created by George Kappeler at the Holland House bar in New York in 1895. Through its journey through time and arrival at Brasserie de Montmirail, it lost Chartreuse and Bénédictine but gained a superb Irish red beer.
Ingredients:
- 5cl of Calvados
- 2.5cl of lemon juice
- 2.5cl of sugar syrup
- 33cl of Irish red amber beer.
- In a large stemmed glass (50cl), pour the calvados, lemon juice, and sugar syrup.
- Mix.
- Add ice cubes.
- Mix again.
- Add the very cold beer, gently so it doesn't foam too much.
- Enjoy.
This cocktail is served at the Brasserie's Brew Pub and is sold in gift kits; perfect for your personal or corporate gifts.
